As mid-summer beckons our late evening rambles often take us out to Dun Laoghaire, where we recently enjoyed some nice sustenance courtesy of the shiny new airstream food truck on the East Pier there.
The mobile venture is run by Paolo Cafolla on behalf of the famous Italian family who have been keeping generations of Dubliners fed and watered on O’Connell Street for more years than we care to remember.
In addition to serving up a fine array of refreshing ice-cream in its many guises and flavours (think cones, sundaes, waffle baskets and more), Cafollas at The Pier also offers a weekly selection of artisan sambo specials.
These include a substantial Chicken Chorizo on Sourdough, which comes packed with chipotle chicken, Spanish chorizo, roasted plum tomatoes, avocado, rocket and lime aioli.
Coffee is by Two Fifty Square with a selection of teas from Wall and Keogh, while we were also delighted to learn that all products are ethically sourced, recyclable or compostable, with over 95% of their waste being recycled. Forza!
