Critics from across the world, including The Guardian and The New York Times, along with local experts will examine the future of theatre criticism at the Mission Critical symposium. Abbey Theatre Literary & New Work Director Ruth McGowan chose the guest speakers, who include not only reporters and journalists like former NYT critic Ben Brantley and The Guardian’s chief theatre critic Arifa Akbar, but also curators, musicians and academics. The event is hosted by the Abbey Theatre and supported by The Irish Times, who also partner with the Dublin Theatre Festival.
