Get ready to laugh your way through September — the very first Dublin West Comedy Fest is coming to town, and it’s bringing an all-star lineup with it. With 21 live shows, dozens of comedians, and some of Dublin’s most iconic venues in the mix, this brand-new festival is already shaping up to be a must-see event on the city’s cultural calendar.

Whether you’re a fan of sharp satire, off-the-cuff chaos, or just good old-fashioned belly laughs, there’s something for everyone on the bill.

Big Names, Fresh Shows, Local Legends

Taking top billing is Dylan Moran, returning with his latest show DOLLA HO, which promises his trademark blend of surreal musings and caustic wit. Also making waves is Reginald D. Hunter, who brings his provocative and razor-sharp humour to a string of festival dates.

Comedy fans will be thrilled to see Deirdre O’Kane performing her new set O’Kaning It, while established Irish favourites like David McSavage, Karl Spain, and Jarlath Regan bring their seasoned talents to the stage.

Already generating serious buzz is Emma Doran, whose three shows sold out almost instantly. You’ll also find top acts like Al Porter, Willa White, Joe Dowlin, and the legendary Andrew Maxwell — not to mention cult favourites 3 Bucks Left, known for their riotous energy and loyal following.

Venues That Know How to Host a Good Night

The festival isn’t just about the acts — it’s about celebrating local spaces that make live comedy possible. Shows will pop up across a range of much-loved venues, including The Palmerstown House, Courtney’s of Lucan, The Black Lion, The Old Mill, The Clonsilla Inn, and the newly reopened Broadway Pub (formerly Boomers) — each bringing their own flavour and atmosphere to the mix.

Festival Director Aidan Killian says the goal was to create a festival that feels rooted in the local community while attracting world-class talent:

“We’re excited to host an incredible lineup of comedians in venues that support culture, comedy, and the magic of live performance. It’s going to be something special.”
