First Birthday Celebrations at the Sue Ryder Charity Emporium

Posted April 19, 2017 in Arts & Culture Features, Uncategorized

Home to over 2000 square feet of pre-loved treasures, including furniture, vinyl, curiosities and old and rare books, the Sue Ryder Charity Emporium at the Five Lamps is gearing up to celebrate its first birthday on Thursday April 20th.

In honour of the occasion the shop will host an indulgent Big Fish Supper, courtesy of their local chippy, with local artists, poets, musicians and special guests dropping to help out with the celebrations and sample a slice or two of birthday cake.

The gorgeous shop’s smart reuse of donations and great use of up-cycled fittings has helped create a coherent contemporary look that’s a cut above the usual, boasting that their  windows are fun, creative and all set to rival Brown Thomas!

With plenty to interest treasure hunters, fans of vintage art and kitsch, funds raised through donations go to support The Sue Ryder Foundation a charity which provides secure, independent living for the elderly.

The Sue Ryder Charity Emporium celebrates its first birthday on Thursday the 20th from 4pm until 7pm at the Five Lamps.  All welcome!
