Didn’t the 80s have lots of rap? Didn’t they virtually invent hair metal?
Such questions arise listening to this pretty but terminally impassive
offering from Nouvelle Vague, the very existence of which inspires a Gallic
shrug. After three albums plundering New Wave , the covers group has lost
its novelty. 3 sees them iron the Violence out of the Femmes and strip
Sting’s So Lonely of its desperation. Road to Nowhere indeed…
