What You Need to Know About the Epic Thursday Night Events Coming to Leopardstown this Summer

Posted 5 months ago in More

This year, Bulmers Live has booked in five nights of incredible live performances and all things entertainment for visitors to enjoy. On 11 and 18 June, as well as 9, 16, and 23 June, you can get yourself down to one of the best racecourses around to enjoy a grand night of festivities. Hoping the weather holds up on each of these Thursday night shin-digs, 2026 promises to be the event’s biggest and best yet.

The Perfect Setting for the Festivities

Horse racing is tremendously popular across Ireland. From days at the races here to major festivals in the UK and even spin-off products, horse racing remains an embedded hit. It’s why one of the most popular slot game series around saw it fit to dive into the sport with Big Bass Return to the Races. The series is built on the fishing feature, where players can secure different-sized prizes on different-sized fish while also getting a fisherman.

In this slot, they’ve mixed it up with the Gold Cup free spins, where only prize symbols remain, instead of there also being regular symbols. It’s a play only made possible by the popularity of horse racing. We in Dublin are treated to being close to one of the finest racecourses in the world. Leopardstown Racecourse is only 8km away, and continues to be a grand venue both for the sport and other major events.

Celebrating Irish Culture at the Racecourse

Leopardstown is a huge venue, suitable for several stages, bars, and all other kinds of stalls to cater to a sizable event. Across five dates this year, that event will be the mighty Bulmers Live at Leopardstown. The all-in celebration of Irish culture puts on a night of racing, music, summer night cheer, and good ol’ Irish fun. Across the site, there’s going to be so much to explore.

Making even better use of the site in 2026, the main stage will be joined by local food trucks and stalls, a sprawling garden area by the Bulmers bar, game zones, and a variety of live performers, including street performers and comedians. You can also find a Gaeilgeoir Corner by Hurricane’s Bar, which will host trad sessions and open mic nights. All in all, the aim on each night is to fully celebrate what it is to be Irish and to have a great night out.

Getting to Leopardstown from Dublin

It’ll take around half an hour to 40 minutes to get from the middle of Dublin to Leopardstown Racecourse by car. You can essentially head directly south-east on the R802, R118, and R815 onto Stillorgan Road towards Leopardstown. If you fancy earning your way there, you can probably cycle down in about an hour!

While parking at the course is free, you could get there quicker and more easily by taking the LUAS. The green line comes along from Dublin City Centre regularly and will touch down in Sandyford about 20 minutes after you hop on. There’s also a complimentary shuttle bus from the Sandyford station if that’s your preference.

Bulmers Live gives you yet another reason to head to the famed Leopardstown racecourse this summer, with epic live events meeting world-class horse racing for a Thursday night to remember.
