Dublin is world-renowned for being a hub of entertainment, hospitality and jovial spirit. So it’s a no-brainer to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this fantastic city while you’re here.

From enjoying traditional Irish music, to indulging in a comedy show, theatre, a flutter on the horses or even in a casino, Dublin has it all. We’ve rounded up our favourite entertainment venues in the city to help shape your travel itinerary here.

The Sporting Emporium Casino

If you’re gaming mad, you’ll probably have loads of apps on your phone, such as William Hill Casino or Candy Crush Saga, but while you’re in Dublin, you can experience it for yourself. The Sporting Emporium Casino is centrally located, just off famous Grafton Street, making it extremely easy to find and is open 6pm to 6am seven days a week. The staff are renowned for their warm welcome and incredible hospitality. So try your hand at Poker, Blackjack or Roulette in this incredible venue and you’ll be set for an evening packed full of entertainment.

Laughter Lounge

Dublin is studded with comedy venues, so you certainly won’t be left disappointed if that’s what you’re looking for from your city break! Laughter Lounge is one of the best comedy spots in the whole city, so we’d advise you head there to get your giggle fix. Opened in 1997, this is the venue to order some finger licking food, grab a cold beer and enjoy an evening packed full of craic!

O’Donoghues

If it’s a night of traditional Irish music you’re looking for O’Donoghues has everything you need. Although it’s always filled with tourists, you’re guaranteed to catch traditional music as this bar has it live every single night. An uplifting, exciting and traditional experience awaits!

We understand that a photograph in front of The Temple Bar is what many visitors seek, so swing by this famous bar, by all means. But remember that there are also some other incredible Irish bars and pubs offering traditional music all across the city.

Abbey Theatre

Focusing primarily on plays and creating new work, the Abbey Theatre is Ireland’s national theatre and a stunning entertainment venue to visit during your time in Dublin. Watch a performance or take a backstage tour when you visit and you’ll be awestruck by the passion of this creative venue. There are also other amazing theatres to try while you’re in the city – head to The Gate Theatre, Bord Gáis Energy Theatre or Gaiety Theatre.

These four venues are must-visit’s while you’re in Dublin, but there’s also so much more to see, do and enjoy. Add these to your list, enjoy everything Dublin has to offer and soak up the hospitality and joy of this fascinating capital city.
