Photographer Kyle Cheldon Barnett and stylist Sophie Donaldson on the creative process behind this month’s fashion shoot.

Kyle: “I’m a photographer and designer based in Dublin. I have a background in visual communications and fashion design with focus on illustration and fashion photography. Sophie and I both wanted to capture new-age femininity with a strong focus on the ethereal figure surrounded by nature. A union of our point of view through soft silhouettes, muted expressions and a dash of playfulness.”

“Sophie and I both wanted to capture new-age femininity with a strong focus on the ethereal figure surrounded by nature.”

Sophie: “The cessation of physical collaboration was really felt by so many creatives during the pandemic. This shoot was one of our first as restrictions began to ease. It was the result of the creative team’s joint vision, including location scouting, casting, hair, makeup, modelling, styling and photography. Sometimes a team just comes together in a really fluid and authentic way, and this was one of those times. It felt good to be creating beautiful imagery again.”
