The Shelbourne Hotel has put together a fancy-dan offering designed to tempt Dublin’s diners back into town this month.
The accommodating Stephen’s Green hostelry has teamed up with Champagne house Laurent Perrier for a sparkling start to Oyster Season, with a selection of daily specials showcasing some of the finest natural produce the Irish coastline has to offer.
Celebratory food and drink pairings include half a dozen delicious oysters with two glasses of Laurent Perrier for €50, while every bottle of Laurent Perrier ordered throughout September comes served with six complimentary oysters.
Newbies are also well catered for, with three unique Oyster Experiences designed to appeal to those who fancy their first taste of the fishy pearl. Featuring a single oyster with an accompanying drink, beginner options include a coastal oyster served with a mini Guinness, an oyster from Dungarvan alongside a mini Bloody Mary or a Carlingford oyster accompanied by a glass of Laurent Perrier.
Meanwhile those who prefer their oysters served old school can enjoy six of the finest served au naturel in time-honoured tradition with a creamy pint of Guinness.
