Following 18 months of caffeinated research Bewley’s is set to bring the latest coffee trend to Dublin with the launch of its new Fair Trade Cold Brew. And to celebrate, they’re offering Dublin’s coffee lovers an opportunity to take their first sips at a radically reduced price of 60c.
Yes – you read that right. The iconic brand will offer a first taste of the chilled beverage at a price of just 60c a cup in its Grafton Street venue on May 28, from 2pm to 5pm.
We’re told that cold brew differs from iced coffee made from hot espresso in both production and taste. The coffee grounds are slowly steeped in cool water, gently extracting flavours from the bean for less acidity, rich flavour and a smoother taste. This process takes twelve hours and results in a taste that is 60 per cent less bitter compared to chilled espresso typically used in iced coffees or lattes.

According to the brand’s Commecial Director, Sheila Dowling, “Very few places are doing cold brew right in Ireland, certainly not at this scale. This cold brew is single origin, balanced and has already been formulated to the perfect way of serving, so that it just has to be served to the correct measure. It can be enjoyed black or as a premium iced latte with your preferred choice of milk.”
A serving of the Bewley’s Fair Trade Cold Brew will be priced between €4.50 and €5.50, dependent on optional extras, such as milk choices and syrups. Made from 100 per cent coffee, this Colombian Fairtrade cold brew is entirely free from additives.
Get a first taste on the afternoon of Wednesday May 28th for a specially reduced launch rate of 60c.
