If your fancy is for pastries that are buttery, flakey and frequently gooey, then Bakeology in Meath Street is sure to hit the sweet spot. The recently opened Argentinian bakery boasts a cool interior packed to the rafters with freshly made buns, biscuits and cakes.

Temptations include an assortment of traditional Argentinian Facturas alongside Alfajore, the popular shortbread cookies beloved of South Americans everywhere. The stunning sweet selection also features Red Velvet Muffins, Chocolate Biscuit Cake and scrumptious Mini Brownies, while savoury treats include delicious homemade Empanadas with a choice of fillings such as Minced Beef and Spinach, Onions and Bechamel Sauce.

Another visit and we’ll be adding the Merienda ritual to our mid-afternoon routine… Vamooos!

Mon – Fri Sat 8.30am-4pm. Sat 9-4.30pm 43 Meath Street, Dublin 8.
