The recent opening of a new Georgian-style bar at F.X. Buckley’s in Pembroke Street adds another chapter to a family story with genuine generational roots in the city.
Run by Dubliner Des Buckley with his sons Stephen and Brian, Xavier’s Bar offers a suitably salubrious setting in which to kick back and watch the world go by.
The inviting bar menu includes a gorgeous selection of Irish charcuteries and cheeses, with oysters from Achill Island alongside a thoughtfully designed drinks selection.
The décor too is pretty inviting, featuring suitably considered prints by designer John Kaye to match the room’s cosy confines.
