Autumn is one of our favourite times of the year and leafing through the programme currently on offer at Airfield Estate, there’s plenty going on to inspire and entertain over the next few weeks.

During the Halloween mid-term break visitors are encouraged to pick up an innovative Autumn Fact Sheet, and ‘follow the path of the black cat’, to discover some spooky facts and learn about unusual nocturnal animal antics on the estate.

Following those exertions, Overends Kitchen offers a welcome opportunity to savour the fruits of some delicious ‘conscious cooking’ with a selection of seasonal organic produce.

The packed schedule also includes a variety of culinary events, with a brace of cooking classes to help upskill young cooks at the end of the month. Meanwhile chefs of all ages can look forward to a workshop demonstration on French Classics in November, featuring practical tips and advice on preparing popular dishes such as moules marinières, classic chicken Dijon and decadent chocolate mousse.

A full recipe pack is provided, and the session also includes tasting opportunities and some lovely refreshments. Thurs Nov 4th, 6.30 – 8pm
