The bewilderingly successful revival of the St Trinian’s franchise back in 2007 has apparently given its investors reason enough to begin a new term at the boarding school for troublesome teens and add to the barrage of seasonal sequels on offer this Christmas. A bizarre plot presents a new challenge for the scantily-clad schoolgirls who are forced to unite their various cliques in order to recover a long-lost treasure belonging to headmistress Fritton’s sea-faring ancestors. In a rare display of good taste Russell Brand wisely decided to opt out this time round. Various new additions to the ensemble cast who weren’t as sensible include Dr Who star David Tennant and Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud fame.
