A keystone event in the IFI’s annual programme, the festival celebrates Irish and international documentary filmmaking that goes behind the headlines, champions bold new voices and world class artistry, and honours the trailblazing works of pioneering directors.
It offers unprecedented access to the filmmakers and their subjects, with a comprehensive lineup of guests for screenings, panel discussions, and public interviews.

The festival will present 13 features, including 11 post-screening discussions, 7 Irish premieres and a new digitisation of Anne Crilly’s landmark 1988 documentary Mother Ireland, alongside two shorts programmes, and a public-facing industry panel which will look at the economic barriers documentary filmmakers face today.
The immense programme runs from Sept 23rd – 27th. For full details go to ifi.ie
