Looking for Christmas gifts with a little more soul? The Dalkey Original Print Fair returns for its Winter Fair on November 21 and 22, bringing seven established printmakers to Our Lady’s Hall for a weekend celebrating original art and creative craftsmanship.
Now on its third outing, the free fair offers a chance to meet the artists, discover the techniques behind their work and buy directly from the makers.
Expect everything from landscapes and urban scenes to people and nature, spanning styles from representational to abstract. Etching, drypoint, carborundum, collagraph, monotype and screenprint are all on the table, with pieces to suit every budget, from small affordable works to statement prints.
Featuring Maria Atanacković, Maureen Burke, Gráinne Cuffe, Susan Early, Emma Fitzpatrick, Linda Uhlemann and Vaida Varnagiene, it’s a lovely excuse to shop local, support independent artists and make a day of Dalkey’s cafés, shops and coastal walks.
November 21–22, 11am–5pm. Our Lady’s Hall, 40 Castle Street, Dalkey. Admission is free. The event is kindly sponsored by The Queens Dalkey
