After hearing the awful news that the brilliant Scene + Heard Festival of New Work would not be happening next year, good news has arrived: the Arts Council has agreed to allow them to repurpose their 2027 multi-annual funding towards a year of development by taking their ethos out on the road.
The new Scene + Heard Development Strand will take the things that have always been at the heart of Scene + Heard — new work, artist development, community, skills, connection and opportunity — and bring them to different places around the country.
