Roadmap: Taylor Wessing Irish Photo Prize

Posted 4 hours ago in Exhibition Previews

The Taylor Wessing Irish Photo Prize is a major new annual award established to champion the excellence, vitality and diversity of contemporary photography in Ireland.

The €10,000 award has been established to support an artist working in photography or lens based media who identifies as being from an underrepresented background.

The exhibition brings together new work by photographers and lens-based artists at different stages of their careers, spanning documentary, portraiture, conceptual and experimental approaches.

Selected from over 1,300 submissions, these artists represent the depth, diversity and ambition of contemporary photographic practice across Ireland today. Their work engages directly with this year’s theme of Community, reflecting the social and political realities shaping our time.

Winning and shortlisted works will feature in a public exhibition at Photo Museum Ireland, Temple Street (Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin 2) from 22 April – 24 May 2026 after which the winning pieces will become part of the Taylor Wessing Irish Photo Prize collection and will be displayed at the Taylor Wessing offices.
