Irish-American comfort dining with a curated vinyl soundtrack that moves through the room… that’s the premise of Barebone, a new venture by Ian Kehoe that opened on Wexford Street a couple of months back.

In a reel on their socials Bar Manager Daire Smullen says for him a great night at the restaurant and cocktail bar would be one where, “You think you’re coming in for some food and maybe a little tipple, and suddenly it’s three hours later, the DJ is banging, everyone is up jumping and you’re on your ninth drink and having a great time.”

Putting some meat on the bones of that, head chef Brian Spain adds that the venture is about “the whole experience – the drinks, the vinyl, the lighting. I think it’s going to sing.”

We suspect it just might!
