With the city’s coffee houses currently brewing up a storm, a timely new publication offers a fascinating insight into the history of coffee culture in Dublin.

Published by Lilliput Press, Patrick Kirk’s five year labour of love has resulted in the collection of some brilliant photos and interviews with those behind fifty of Dublin’s best loved independent cafés and coffee shops.

Featuring chapters on Clement & Pekoe, Lilliput Stores, The Fumbally, Bang Bang, and more, the Guide comes packed with recipes, brewing tips, and the stories behind the buildings that house the cafés involved.

The talented author and photographer, who we’re told played soccer for Bohs, before launching a popular Instagram account championing his love of all things caffeine, is currently in the midst of opening his own indie café.

In deference to his research, we expect great things!
