Clubs including Dublin Comedy Improv and The Comedy Cellar have been making Dubliners laugh at The International Bar since the early 1990s, with comedic legends such as Ardal O’Hanlon, Kevin Gildea, Deirdre O’Kane and Barry Murphy honing their wit there over the years.
The spirited home of comedy in Dublin is now fostering the talents of a new generation courtesy of The Underground Comedy Club, a lively initiative featuring an eclectic mix of newcomers, seasoned pros trying out new material, and visiting acts dropping in to take the pulse of the sagacious Dublin audience.

Hosted by comedians Kevin Larney and Jason Brennan, you’ll find it in the basement of the International on Saturday evenings.
Doors 8.30pm, Show 9pm. Admission €10.
The pints are sublime too.
