Following a brief six-month sojourn and a classy new revamp, the lights are on and the doors are open again at The Queens in Dalkey.

The interlude also saw the iconic old lady changing hands, with new owners Orla and Paddy Doherty already making their mark, in keeping with the track record for great hospitality that they’ve long since established at The Eagle in Glasthule and McGrory’s in Culdaff, Inishowen.

Now open seven days a week, the much loved South County Dublin institution is walk-ins only, while fur babies can expect a warm welcome on the dog friendly terraces.

The restaurant too is up and running, with a variety of menus designed to reflect seasonal Irish produce, alongside a full bar offering featuring everything from pints of plain to craft beers, wines, and a delicious selection of cocktails.

As new General Manager Kamila Kleszcz put it; “This is more than just a reopening, it’s a celebration of history, community, and the vibrant future we see for Dalkey.”

We’ll drink to that!
