Dublin-based gin lovers lamenting the closure of the Listoke Distillery and Gin School last autumn may be interested in travelling further afield this summer to sample the wares available just across the border in Fermanagh.
The Boatyard Distillery in Enniskillen has the sole distinction of being accessible by both road and by water, affording visitors an opportunity to take in a journey by water-taxi while immersing themselves in the beautiful Lakeland landscape of Lough Erne.

Once safely docked at the Marina that houses the distillery, a bustling ninety-minute tour kicks off with a hospitable gin and tonic reception, followed by a chance to sample some neat tastings of their full spirits range which includes both vodka and gin.
Enjoy a brace of cocktails as the friendly staff there share details of the story so far while spilling the tea on their future plans.

There’s also a chance to label your own bottle which can be taken away as a memento afterwards.
A lovely way to go with the flow as the seasons begin to change.
