Onra’s third LP, Long Distance, is the latest sterling release on Dublin’s All City Records. Encompassing hip-hop, R&B, boogie, and G-funk in one delicately-crafted swoop;, Long Distance is a soul-drenched pastiche that lands somewhere between J-Dilla and Hudson Mohawke’s finer moments. Although largely instrumental, the inspired inclusion of Oliver Daysoul, and Reggie B on vocal duty crowns this treasure of futuristic funk.
