Mini Viva

Will the supply of popstars from the Simon Fuller factory never end? The latest addition of pop entities you just want to hate are British popstrels Frankee and Britt, AKA Mini Viva. Fresh from a support slot with the ever-vacuous Saturdays, Mini Viva are the kind of band you used to see on Live & Kicking on a Saturday morning back in the day. They have followed up smashing debut single ‘Left My Heart in Tokyo’ with a tune straight from the pen of Girls Aloud’s best songwriters. With back to back syrupy vocals and an atypical pop backdrop, ‘I Wish’ may not be as instantly gratifying as its predecessor but still manages to function as the kind of shameless pop indulgence we occasionally need a fix of.
