Judging from the collective sighs and swoons after their recent sold out Vicar Street date, Grizzly Bear came up trumps once again in the live stakes in what was show of the year for many. Now the bloggers favourites are reminding us (lest we forget) of their prowess on record by releasing one of the live favourites from latest record Veckatimest. Making sure GB don’t fall foul of their own publicity, thankfully ‘Ready, Able’ is everything fans and newcomers alike have come to expect from the Brooklynites. With a lilting, inimitable melody, the single is characteristically underpinned by Ed Droste’s haunting vocals. Add to this an accompanying video directed by Allison Schulnik that takes us right back to the days of Playdo, it seems Grizzly Bear are one band who can do no wrong.
