Christmastime In Dublin Town

Given that we have no option but to be inundated with the classic canon of schmaltzy Chrimbo musical fare for the last twelfth of every year, it’s a bit of a relief to hear something that’s new, has some humour in it and is for a good cause. It already sounds a bit like a Kinder Egg.

Inspired by Christmas FM’s noble competition to get people writing new Christmas songs, some folks on the thumped message board merged their brains to produce this minor masterpiece. With obligatory sleigh bells and hilarious jaysis-auld-Dub voiceovers in tow, Christmastime In Dublin Town is raising money for the Wet Hostel on Aungier Street in a delightful way. Get it on iTunes now and watch out for the upcoming CD release to dispel any lingering snow or financial crisis induced humbuggery.
