In his fourth solo release and his first since his dalliance with the Raconteurs, singer-songwriter Benson continues his late 70s-inspired musings to create guitar pop perfection. On tracks like the endearing Garbage Day and Misery pop sensibilities are shamelessly embraced. Although most of these tracks were already posted on his Myspace, the album re-affirms Benson’s innate ability to pen a memorable melody, resulting in a welcome addition to an already glowing back catalogue.
