Dream Wife

Dream Wife

[Lucky Number]

Formed as a “fake band” as a piece of performance art in Brighton, it turns out Dream Wife are pretty good at this music thing.

Their self-titled debut is an album of blissful surf rock, filled with pop hooks and adorned with an edge.

Singer Rakel Moll has a knack for a lyric and an interesting phrasing that means her words often fall on the off-beat.

Perhaps it has something to do with her heritage, with final track F.U.U. sung half in English and half Icelandic.
