The Special One – Spring Tasting Event at Glas

This coming month sees a very special tasting event showcasing the seasonal dishes that form part of the gorgeous new plant-based Spring Menu at vegetarian restaurant Glas. The evening also sees the Chatham Street restaurant celebrating four years of creative Head Chef Malte Half’s reign in the kitchen.

During his tenure behind the pass, the passionate chef has transformed what was originally regarded as a niche restaurant into ‘a vegetarian restaurant for all’, with his sustainably sourced gourmet dishes proving that you don’t have to be a vegetarian to love Irish veg.

Paying tribute to their popular head chef on their social channels, the restaurant described him as “a passionate cook, a devoted food-lover and a creative genius in the kitchen. He adores working with local and seasonal produce and is dedicated to creating the most exquisite meals!”

The Tasting Event offers those who have yet to be converted an opportunity to see what the fuss is all about, as Malte prepares a game-changing Tasting Menu which he reckons will change how people think about vegetarian and vegan food.

The event which takes place on Tuesday March 12th, sees seven courses for €60, with a special wine pairing selected by Malte and wine expert Dualta Woods also available at an additional cost of €32pp.
