Dublin based Hoop-la are responsible for the new branding and packaging for 57° SKYE earth & sea gin. Distilled on the Isle of Skye and surrounded by the fertile waters of the Inner Hebrides 57° SKYE is a “juniper lead with fresh citrus sweetness herbaceous peppery notes from the earth and umami from the sea with a hint of long lasting warmth.”

The nimble agency founded by Marcus Lynam, “builds teams around project”. He describes the process for this project as follows; “Drawing on the unique topography of the Isle of Skye, we embellished the label by embossing the dramatic contour lines of the landscape into the paper, giving it an intriguing tactile quality. The hand drawn typography was inspired by nautical references found along the shores of the island and given a unique twist.

The mottled texture of the foiling was designed to emulate the distressed environmental impact the coastal climate has on everything it touches and the reverse print on the label is refracted through the liquid, magnifying the graphic textures and colours onto the glass, when held in hand.”

He also promises some bottles, will be landing on retail shelves, in the city soon.
