A new festive afternoon tea offering from the hospitable crew at Luttrellstown Castle looks set to entice those who prefer their pre-Christmas catch-ups away from the bustle of town.

Menu highlights at the thirteenth century castle include sandwiches of Slow Cooked Ham Hock with Wholegrain Mustard on freshly baked Sourdough, and Homemade Guinness and Treacle Brown Bread topped with Smoked Salmon, Pickled Fennell, Lemon and Saffron Aioli.

An indulgent selection of sweets features delicious homemade scones, signature Mince Pies and rich Pear and Caramel Cheesecake with Spicy Pears, Vanilla Cream Cheese and a Toffee Glaze. Optional extras include a Cranberry Mimosa or a refreshing Christmas Old Fashioned.

The ‘Duchess of Cumberland Festive Afternoon Tea’ (€70pp), is served at 1pm and 4pm on Sunday Dec 3rd, 10th and 17th, with two final sittings on Wednesday December 20th. Walk it all off on a tour of the castle which takes place at 3.30pm each day tea is served. An elegant way to enjoy a seasonal bite or two.
