5 Star Dining at The Morrison Hotel on Ormond Quay

Posted March 6, 2023 in Food & Drink Features

As it gets set to mark a quarter of a century on Ormond Quay next year, The Morrison has just been accredited as a five star hotel by Fáilte Ireland, while also being awarded Green Tourism’s Gold level rating for its efforts on sustainable tourism.

A recent revamp guided by Nikki O’Donnell Architects (NODA) has helped bring a more contemporary look and feel to the hotel’s rooms and reception area, complete with new Irish art, décor, furnishings and floors.

As ever, visitors to the Morrison Grill and Quay 14 get to take in stunning Liffey-side views, as the popular dining room continues to entice regulars, locals, and tourists alike with a nice selection of fresh, seasonal food and drink offerings.

Foodwise, provenance is very much to the fore as Chef Sushil Kumar oversees the hotel’s gourmet take on perennial favourites such as afternoon tea, and traditional bar classics.

In addition to succulent roast meats with all the trimmings from their famed Josper Grill, there’s also a generous choice of sandwiches, soups and salads on offer, including Hearty Seafood Chowder and our old favourite the Morrison Hot Reuben Sandwich.
