We perish the thought of the month when there isn’t food and drink but Great Irish Beverages have proclaimed October to be a standout. It’s about “celebrating the pairing of our native Irish drinks and foods” and brought to us by Oisín Davis.
While Hen’s Teeth are forming part of the programme, there’s a specific look at things down Wicklow way also. Partnering with Dee Laffan, editor of the wonderful Scoop magazine, it kicks off with a day-long event in the Powerscourt Distillery on Sunday October 1 which includes a Wicklow producers market, foraging walks, Harvest Craft demos and discussion panels and talks from local champions including Catherine Fulvio on life as a TV chef.
