With its wonderfully enigmatic prelude, a short film called Hotel Chevalier, director Wes Anderson’s latest movie The Darjeeling Limited is one of the cinema highlights of the last year. Anderson favourites Jason Swarztman and Owen Wilson are joined by Adrian Brody on an epic train journey. They play a motley trio of brothers on a voyage of discovery across the Indian sub-continent. Along the way they explore Indian customs, spirituality, and even a bit of the kama sutra. Most of all they delve deep into their own complex family history with it’s treasure trove of secrets. The Darjeeling Ltd hits all the right notes.
