One Missed Call

Posted September 4, 2008 in DVD/Digital Reviews

One Missed Call is yet another bad American remake of a decent Asian horror film. Beth (Shannyn Sossamon) and her friends start receiving voice-mails from their future selves that include detailed information about their own death. One by one the predictions come true. Beth has to figure out what’s going on before it’s her turn to kick the bucket. One Missed Call retains none of the character of the original Japanese film made by Takashi Miike, a cult hero whose films often push the boundaries with their graphic depictions of sex and violence.
