The Dublin Jazz Co-Op Presents: ÓNINAÓ

ÓNINAÓ is a neo-tropicalia project bringing a fresh take on classic Brazilian sounds Inspired by the great icons of 1960s and 1970s Brazilian tropicalia — such as Caetano Veloso, Jorge Ben Jor, Novos Baianos and Gal Costa — ÓNinaÓ blends samba, bossa nova, and brazilian regional folk rhythms with bluesy guitars and psychodelic rock influences.

The band has been performing live at some of Ireland’s best Cultural Festivals including Culture Night and 5 Lamps Arts Festival at the Windmill Lane Recording Studio, and has premiered its debut single ‘Flor de Fevereiro’ live on RTE Radio 1’s Arena to an enthusiastic reception, signaling a promising journey ahead in a music scene that transcends borders.

Currently working on its first Album, ÓNinaÓ continues to captivate audiences with its heartfelt homage to Brazil’s rich musical heritage.

The Dublin Jazz Co-op presents ÓNinaÓ at The Backroom at The Cobblestone, on Sunday May 25th.
