In music spheres, this is the time of year where the ‘ones to watch’ emerge. However, we prefer to think of Maria Kelly as one to keep a pair of binoculars firmly focused on. Her atmospheric folk output is both comforting and beguiling. There’s a tender ebb and flow to her vocals and arrangements which mine emotions with candour. Her debut EP, The Things I Should, was followed by a single Hollow at the tail end of 2017. Catch her in these cosy confines with support from Anna Mieke.
