The IFI’s From The Vaults series features Andrew Scott‘s debut film appearance and will be introduced by its director Cathal Black. Based on a John McGahern short story, Korea is a rural saga, that covers a great many domestic neuroses – emigration, the Civil War, generational discord – in an impressively small space.
This sumptuous restoration from original 35mm elements has been created by the IFI Irish Film Archive for IFI’s Digital Restoration Project funded by Screen Ireland/Fís Éireann.
