Midst the fanfare of hometown musicians and their trumpeting of Christmas shows sits the unassuming Crowley. He may fly under the radar of the masses but Crowley brings a tender beauty to his compositions and considerations on existence. Dark Eyed Messenger, his most recent release, is produced by Thomas Bartlett (Sufjan Stevens, The Gloaming) and sees Crowley put down his guitar and “decide to live out his days as a silver birch tree”. A sturdy musical presence who may be overshadowed at times but one who we should truly rejoice!
