Great news for lovers of summer in Dublin as Dublin City Council, in collaboration with The Temple Bar Company and DublinTown.ie proudly presents the launch of a brand-new series of vibrant city-centre activations running across five weekends this July and August.

Appropriately entitled, ‘Summer in Dublin’ residents and visitors are invited to come and experience the city in a new way as Parliament Street and the surrounding area in Temple Bar comes to life.

There’s a host of terrific events in store, including live entertainment, a chance to meet the stall holders at the city’s food and craft markets, a plentiful array of immersive pop-ups, including ‘Blossoms & Bees’, and an exciting series of free, family-friendly activities – all set in a safe, traffic-free environment in the heart of the city.

This new summer initiative will provide locals and visitors with live entertainment as they shop, socialise and stroll around the capital over the next few weeks. Meanwhile as part of the summer series of events, ‘Style in the City’ will take place every Saturday afternoon with fashion, beauty, and music in the heart of the city.

Each weekend, visitors can enjoy free fashion shows featuring local retailers, expert styling tips, beauty demonstrations, and live DJ sets. ‘Style in the City’ will take place over eight consecutive Saturdays between July and August, with festivities continuing from July 12th on Henry Street from 1pm to 5pm.

Whether you’re a fashion lover, beauty enthusiast, or just out for a fun day in town, it’s the perfect way to soak up the best of Dublin’s style scene — all completely free!

Other highlights to look forward to include:

  • The transformation of Parliament Street into The Pirates of Parliament Street, a pedestrian paradise featuring games, face painting, and fun for all ages;
  • A series of vibrant Sunday markets with live music, street food, and handmade crafts in the historic setting of East Essex Street;
  • A wonderfully diverse programme of live music performances, spanning everything from rock and pop to R’n’B and traditional Irish sounds at Meeting House Square;
  • A specially extended Temple Bar Night Market which sees the ever popular market running for additional hours every Thursday (2PM–8PM), continuing on Fridays and Saturdays (12PM–6PM). Browsers can look forward to a unique evening experience featuring gorgeous handcrafted goods, artwork, and more from local creators.

And that’s not all – keep an eye out for ‘Summer Nights’, an exciting series of events which Dublin City Council will be holding later this summer.  So mark your diaries for ‘Summer in Dublin’ which takes place over the following weekends:

  • Thursday, July 10th – Sunday, July 13th
  • Thursday, July 17th – Sunday, July 20th
  • Thursday, July 24th – Sunday, July 27th
