Drag, Clay & Mimosas: Kick Off Dublin Pride with a Creative Morning at Throwing Shapes

Posted 2 hours ago in Arts and Culture

Throwing Shapes is kicking off the morning of Pride on 27 June with a fabulous morning of clay, drag and plenty of mimosas to set you up for the Dublin Pride Parade. It is a full studio takeover; all participants will enjoy mimosas and nibbles on arrival before getting hands-on with clay in a fun and inclusive 2.5hr workshop. Guests will join wheel-throwing or a hand-building classes, guided by three of our teachers to create their own unique ceramic pieces throughout the workshop.

As you settle into your pottery workshop, Dublin’s most elite drag Queens Anziety and Viola Gayvis will bring the studio to life with live performances, entertainment and plenty of laughs throughout the event.

This event is all about joy, creativity, self-expression and community. You are encouraged to come dressed to impress. Whether you’re coming with friends, a partner or solo, everyone is welcome – this is set to be a joyous experience.

At the end of the class, each participant will have a pottery piece to keep. Your creations will be glazed and fired by the studio team and ready for collection approximately 4-6 weeks later.
