Newpark Academy of Music Hosts A Gala Fundraising Concert at the Royal Irish Academy of Music This Saturday!

Newpark Academy of Music hosts a much anticipated Gala Fundraising Concert at the Royal Irish Academy of Music this weekend. This very special event which takes place at 1pm on Saturday May 24th sees the Academy celebrating 48 years of music, community, and creativity.

This milestone event will feature performances by the Newpark Community Orchestra, Ireland’s longest-standing community orchestra, alongside a stunning lineup of emerging soloists and ensembles from our academy. Audiences will be treated to a diverse and inspiring programme that spans classical masterworks, contemporary favourites, and musical theatre gems.

Highlights of the evening include the Newpark Community Orchestra performing iconic works by Beethoven, Piaf, Morricone and more, in addition to
performances from Newpark’s most accomplished young soloists documenting a musical journey through 48 years of community and creativity.

Speaking about the gala event a spokesperson for the college said, “We are proud to mark nearly five decades of inclusive, high-quality music education, with this concert showcasing the talent, passion, and hard work of our students, staff, and wider community. As we look ahead to the future of Newpark, this event also serves as a key fundraiser to support our outreach and scholarship programmes, ensuring that access to music remains open to all.”

The event takes place at 1pm on Saturday May 24th at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Whyte Hall, Westland Row, Dublin.
