From the team behind Ireland Is,* acclaimed poets Colm Keegan and Erin Fornoff return with a brand new live experience: Every Blooming Thing, a powerful spoken word roadshow travelling to five counties this summer.
Produced by Sofft Productions with LIVE Network, the tour offers an evening of poetry, music, community and inspiration — all rooted in the celebration of life’s quiet, often unnoticed moments.
Taking its name and ethos from the poet Patrick Kavanagh’s belief in the beauty of the everyday, Every Blooming Thing weaves together two central poems — Springshine by Keegan and A Billion Tiny Things by Fornoff — to reflect the show’s grounding in positivity, hope, and gratitude.
Each stop on the tour will feature not only Colm and Erin’s poetry but an unreal array of local guest poets, musicians, and free community writing workshops designed to celebrate local voices and encourage new ones. The show promises a unique, deeply local and communal experience at every venue.
Speaking about the show Colm Keegan says, “In our outward looking, acquisitive culture these days, what’s beautiful right in front of us can often get overlooked, even dismissed. I’ve worked for years bringing poetry as a force to celebrate what we have right here right now in our lives in a positive way and this show is a new, focussed and exciting way to elevate that process. In every town, we want to honour the stories and voices that are already there, in a way that will hopefully galvanise us as we face increasing challenges in the wider world.”
Poet Erin Fornoff adds, “The world seems darker and darker, and with Every Blooming Thing we felt it was important to look at the small moments of beauty that exist in the everyday- as a way to shore ourselves up, to keep gratitude at the forefront, to remember what is precious and worth keeping.”
Each event is a one-night-only celebration of community, creativity, and connection.
