Our recent series of Street Style features, focus pieces on different enclaves of Dublin, has seen us debating the character-lending aspects of different strands in Dublin’s tapesterial sprawl. Are enclaves defined by their history, their architecture, their commerce, or are there more subtle markers? Dublin City Beta is a progressive initiative from the City Council to trial run small ideas for public feedback in a given area of the city, with a view to serving different areas needs while testing projects for a wider use across Dublin City. Beta is still very much in conceptual mode, but is an encouragingly forward-thinking endeavor.
