Dublin by Dusk, a new monthly initiative aimed at bringing fresh energy to the city centre after hours, launches this Thursday May 28th with a mix of culture, shopping, workshops and early-evening happenings designed to coax people back into town once the laptops close.
Taking place on the last Thursday of every month, the programme brings together businesses, cultural spaces and hospitality venues to showcase Dublin as more than just a quick pint and a sprint to catch the Luas home.
This month’s programme includes late-night openings at museums and galleries, cocktails and live music, pottery painting, evening cruises on the River Liffey, walking tours, wellness experiences, hotel offers and late-opening hospitality venues across the city centre.

Among the first events is a Wearable Collage workshop at Bewley’s Grafton Street, where artists Soundless Art and CasaCor will guide participants through upcycling shirts into wearable art pieces. Perfectionists can relax – no sewing skills required.
The wider initiative is backed by Dublin City Council, Fáilte Ireland, Dublin Town and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, with plans to encourage more gallery visits, shopping, café culture and general lingering around town in the early evening hours.
More reasons to stay in the city after work.
