Some of the best in cutting edge and contemporary art will be showcased by Ireland’s leading galleries and artists as Art Evolve returns to Dublin’s RDS this weekend.

The fair will see 60 galleries and artists curating the cream of Irish and international contemporary art under one roof.

Members of the Contemporary Art Gallery Association (CAGA) will join forces with other established galleries and individual artists for the three-day event, where visitors will also have the chance to talk to the experts, with a range of price points from acclaimed to mid-career artists on show.

Taylor Galleries and Oliver Sears Gallery, along with Kerlin Gallery, Hillsboro Fine Art and Solomon Fine Art, are among the top city galleries which make up the Contemporary Art Gallery Association (CAGA), whose mission is to promote artists’ careers and expand a public audience.

For gallery owner Tara Murphy of Solomon Fine Art, the return of Art Evolve to the RDS represents an opportunity for people to find the art that calls to them. “Art is so subjective, and this is a great chance for visitors to experience everything the contemporary art scene has to offer at once, and to explore what speaks to them,” she said.

“When you think about the breadth of artists represented in this one space, and pair that with the opportunity to chat to experts, collectors and often the artists themselves, it truly is an experience not to be missed.”

Show organiser, Patrick O’Sullivan, said the demand for high-end, modern art is ‘dynamic’.

“Art Evolve will highlight the latest work by our best living artists in an exciting and immersive setting. It is the ideal opportunity for collectors and the culturally curious to experience some of the best contemporary art currently being created in Ireland, and to get some expert advice and guidance from leading galleries.”

Art Evolve takes place at the RDS (Industries Hall) from Friday March 27th to Sunday March 29th. The opening night will feature an interactive Creative Convergence event, which will include a DJ set and artist talks.
