This International Women’s Day, The GALPAL and IFI are partnering to highlight and celebrate the contribution of up-and-coming women in film.
The GALPAL Collective’s ethos is to promote and celebrate diversity in the Irish creative industry. The collective was co-founded by Director and screenwriter Aisha Bolaji and Writer and Journalist Ashley Chadamoyo Makombe.
The event which will be hosted at IFI on the 8th of March will include an inauguration of short films and music videos curated by Aisha Bolaji and Lisa Dempsey. The inauguration will also include ‘Directed by Her’: The Art of Creating a panel featuring up-and-coming filmmakers facilitated by Co-founder Ashley Chadamoyo.
‘Directed by Her’ is a celebration of women in film, and a must-attend event for anyone who appreciates the power and art of storytelling.
