HOW TO SAY IT THE WAY IT IS! is an exhibition at Rua Red that inaugurates the gallery’s year-long partnership with a/political, a London-based organisation whose taste, a blend of political activism and visual art, is as acquired as an exclamation mark on an all caps title. The exhibition has works by various international artists, many of which have never been shown in Ireland before, and aims to provide ‘an alternative narrative to the current political status quo – one of timeless defiance, resistance and disorder.’ The exhibition wants not only to knock the socks off our feet, but also to know who made them and what made us think we deserve them in the first place.
