The Yeah Yeah Yeahs new single, “Zero” from their upcoming LP, It’s Blitz! is brimming with synthesizers and electronic influence, so much so that drummer, Brian Chase, and guitarist, Nick Zinner, nearly miss getting lost underneath it all. Hovering above the synthy beats is Karen O’s voice driving the song, and it is unlikely that the trio’s dynamic female lead would have it any other way. However, despite the move to a more battery-operated sound, “Zero” is still catchy as hell and will likely have even the most reluctant of wallflowers on their feet.
